Our Services

Care Your Way

No two people are alike – so naturally, home care services should be highly customized to meet the diverse needs, preferences and personality types of those we serve.  With that in mind, the staff at Kindness Changes Everything takes time to get to know each client and caretaker to learn what is important to that individual.

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Services

Exercise & Therapy Assistance

Caregivers can remind, motivate, assist and even participate in exercise routines as well as prescribed physical therapy programs.  It is a priority to keep clients active and energized.

Light Housekeeping & Laundry

Caregivers can provide light housekeeping and laundry services.  Our clients thrive in clean, well kept areas.

Personal Attendance & Companionship

Caring for clients includes a variety of activities.  Sharing stories, reading the news, eating together, listening to music, facilitating personal correspondence, and assistance with technology can all be activities that are beneficial to a client’s overall wellbeing.

Errands & Appointments

Transportation for social engagements, doctor appointments and other necessary errands can be provided by caregivers.

Medication & Hydration Reminders

Caregivers can help a client with reminders to ensure that medications are not missed.  It’s also important to stay hydrated!

Meal Preparation & Cooking

Caregivers can cook meals, shop for groceries, prepare snacks and clean up afterward.

Activities of Daily Living

Bathing & Showering

Caregivers can do everything from helping a client in and out of the shower to full bed baths.  Part of the training includes how these services are performed with modesty in mind.

Personal Hygiene

Personal grooming tasks such as oral care, hair brushing, and shaving can be difficult for individuals to perform on their own, or simply overlooked.  Caregivers can ensure that a client looks and feels good at all times.

Feeding

Making sure clients are well fed is a top priority.  Caregivers can prep and serve food or provide more full-service feeding activities.

Dressing

Caregivers can ensure that a loved one is in clean, comfortable clothes at all times.  Help with dressing and undressing as well as socks and shoes assistance can make an individual feel ready for the day.

Toilet Assistance & Incontinence Care

Providing mobility aids or direct support during toileting can help an individual be safe during their time in a bathroom.  Caregivers are trained in sensitivity and respectfulness for a loved one’s privacy.

Mobility & Ambulation Assistance

A caregiver can safely assist a loved one with transfer and ambulations, as well as getting in and out of vehicles.  We provide training on the utilization of professional mobility devices.

Who Can Receive Care?

All services can be approved for individuals of various ages and disabilities that meet DDD’s qualifying criteria, after the support coordinator completes a needs assessment.
